Ok, I get it - you don’t like John Lennon. I’m not sure why someone who died 41 years ago has this effect on you.
There are plenty of artists that I do not like but I’m not going to waste my time asking others to convince me that I’m wrong in my opinion.
You don’t like him, fine. Who cares?
I like his music and listen to The Beatles daily. Who cares?
Maybe you should start a thread about fashion trends you don’t like.

I have seen it. I still don't like Lennon. He's a fine musician and generational genius song writer, but not just a flawed man. In fact, having Yoko like his pet shi-tsu through every session would have annoyed the shite out of me as his bandmate and confirms his selfishness. Especially when they are wasting time to have her screech into the microphone. The whole beginning where George calls it quits is because John was being a dick.

I’m no giant Beatles lover. I like or can name about 20% of their entire catalog, but they’re one of the most important musicians in the 20th century.

John didn’t care if George left. He would have replaced George with Eric Clapton. John was so strung out on Heroin by 69 the Beatles took a back seat. The real reason the Beatles broke up is because George Harrison was the best songwriter in the band in 69 and now three guys had to compete for album space. John left so he wouldn’t have to compete anymore.

John Lennon was an amazing artist. He was also a very flawed person, not atypical of amazing artists. As history moves on the art typically outlives the man.
That’s not giving him a pass, it’s just the truth. Lots of people who have done great things have been shitty people. It’s probably the majority.
