He's going to get himself killed for nothing. They aren't making the playoffs and the O Line still sucks.

? Relevant NFL Rulebook Sections
Rule 11 — Scrimmage Kicks
ARTICLE 3. KICKING TEAM RECOVERS BEYOND LINE OF SCRIMMAGE
“If a scrimmage kick crosses the line of scrimmage, and is recovered by the kicking team, the ball is dead at the spot of recovery.
If the ball is recovered before the line to gain, it is first down for the receiving team.”
This is the base rule.
So if the Panthers (kicking team) recover past the LOS but short of the sticks, the ball should be dead and become Saints’ ball.

I actually agree that this isn't anywhere near as bad as it could be for us. If things fall the right way, we could win.
re: Do you find it hard to reason with staunch religious people?
Posted by CatholicLSUDude on 10/29/25 at 8:02 am to RoosterCogburn585
I find it harder to reason with relativists. At least religious people have firm grounding in something and believe there's a "right" to discover/reason through.
People who throw up their hands and say, "gee, no one can really know what's true" are the worst type. They are also spineless.
Cheers.

Man, this is going to be must watch just for the storyline. I think we get killed because our D has been exposed and the O line still sucks, but the storyline doesn't care about that.
The storyline is the LSU is a talented team playing for pride after their coach, who'd been holding them back, got fired. So, maybe they'll play out of their minds with nothing to lose.

Not remastering the multiplayer is criminal. Unpopular opinion: halo CE is the best multiplayer. Pistol separated the men from the boys and you were always dangerous upon spawn. I'd love for them to give it a graphical upgrade and re-release that too.

re: Points Per Quality Drive Graph

Is my interpretation that we are the worst team at finishing drives in the country? We have a decent clip of quality drives, but we have the lowest expected points per quality drive. Am I reading that right?

I wish I could agree. But now we've learned our defense sucks against offenses that don't suck and there is no hope that our Oline or Nuss will get better.
I kinda feel like the wheels are about to come off in a big way at LSU.

I don't think Denbrock is that great. We couldn't run the ball with him either (other than JD5). JD5 was just awesome and made him look good.

re: What is the background of the RCC immigration modern teachings?
Posted by CatholicLSUDude on 10/8/25 at 2:41 pm to burger bearcat
The official teaching is that you can make and enforce prudent rules around how immigration occurs, but you should welcome and protect those who are truly vulnerable. It's never been that countries are forced to take in unending waves of immigrants.
Catechism:
"The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin. Public authorities should see to it that the natural right is respected that places a guest under the protection of those who receive him.
Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens."

re: This Will Be LSU’s Breakout Game…
Posted by CatholicLSUDude on 9/26/25 at 8:26 am to Ramsey Dardar 1982
It seems to me that a lot of people think LSU's offense is what they've seen up to this point (not very good). But a lot of us are hoping that what we saw last weekend is an indication that Nuss has healed up and we are going to return to form and at least look like last year. That plus defense could easily prove you right.
re: Josh Pate is all in on Ole Miss this weekend
Posted by CatholicLSUDude on 9/25/25 at 3:14 pm to Lgrnwd
Does he not believe we will see a better Nuss than we saw the first three games? BK did say they were letting him do more after the injury before last week, and he played like old Nuss (albeit against a terrible opponent). Being a hopeful LSU fan, I think we see Nuss closer to his old self and the defense keeps being awesome.
