This is the biggest issue with these radical progressive “intellectuals.” They think every type of person should be identified, accepted, and celebrated. “You’re a pedophile? That’s great! We want to recognize you and your lived experiences! You matter!”

When in reality, some mutations aren’t conducive to building a good society.

I assume all "straight" white male liberals are pedophiles or pedophile sympathizers. You won't be fooled too often if you take this position.

There was a time when I dismissed the whole “slippery slope” concept in regards to such things, but it’s been fairly clear that the über-progressives were going to get to this point eventually.

I even got some shite last year, after the allegations against comedian/actor Chris D’Elia came out, when I joked that he should have waited a few years before it was acceptable behavior.

Formerly, I would have agreed with you 100%. And in theory, I still want to. But shite like this seems to be happening more and more these days, which is almost the very definition of normalization, no?

Also, the fact that it is over-represented in the news and media...isn't that a direct key to something becoming "normalized and accepted"? I mean, the vast majority of the country gets news from news sources and social media. And those lines are becoming more and more blurred every day, to the point where the news has become entertainment and directly tied with social media.

I mean shite, 20 years ago we watched South Park make fun of NAMBLA and shite like that. And now this is an actual college professor talking about how okay pedophilia is. A college professor. This is more than just some random whacko talking about it on social media.
