Nathalia Filgueiras did a news interview about getting her pilot's license while still in high school in 2023.

There's absolutely no way she would be PIC of a learjet at this point if she got her license in 2023.

All she has to do is bang her boomer boss. The entire country is full of young women getting catapulted/accelerated careers and opportunities from old men who want to frick them.

This is like the 3rd story of a female pilot in the last several years.

1. The girl who crashed her plane in the ocean going to pick up her parents in the Bahamas

2. The girl who flew the helicopter into the commercial airliner and killed all those people DESPITE not having prerequisite flight hours and being recorded as someone not putting in the work.

The Learjet has onboard weather radar correct?

Can’t imagine it doesn’t. Someone said they asked to turn right to avoid the cell but ATC would not let them. I haven’t actually heard that, so FWIW.

I mean...a copilot doesn't do nothing on a plane. Even I know that. In fact, emergency situations is probably when they have to do the most.

Counterpoint...the very young female pilot that landed a prop plane on the interstate recently. She had to duck an overpass and remained completely calm on the radio during an emergency landing. She has brass balls and deserves her pilot license.

This is the 2nd woman suggested as the pilot.

It is interesting that we don't know who was pilot, nor who else was on the jet.

Certainly would add fuel to the weirdo conspiracy theorists about trying to crash into Mar a Lago

I don’t think you get an ATP by banging anyone. Plus, she was right seat, correct?

She got her private at 17. She slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies with laughter silvered wings just like anyone who had the bug.

She was called. She flew. She was counted.

Raise a glass.

I understand this board’s sensitivity to DEI initiatives. And maybe this woman’s attractiveness got her through some check rides. I imagine her record will be available for public consumption when they release the accident findings.

Aviation is very much a meritocracy. Don’t have the right certifications, you ain’t doing the job.

The copilot handles the plane during normal operating conditions. I would imagine the captain took control in this situation. The copilot was then in a supporting role, reading off the Emergency checklist and communicating with ATC.

I have not heard it, but there’s whispers online that the captain was saying the Lord’s prayer as they were crashing. He knew they were out of options.

Two of my flight instructors were young women. One was even a former LSU Athlete. I would absolutely go up with them anytime and anywhere. They were smart, safe, and very knowledgeable. Better than nearly all of the male instructors

And now shes killed 9 people but irrelevant because youre an old man that wants to bang.

At some point our country has to have a frank discussion about perverted old men and girl dads who hate young men.
