If they unfrick what Leenzee did in Patch 1.5, it may go back on my "buy" list.

It's one of the free PS+ games of the month for May. Sucks we can't get the unpatched version though.

You have lost one weekend series this season on the road against the team with the best pitching staff in the nation. And you say your team has been incredibly frustrating to watch all year?

How many times have you watched this Bama team play?
I wonder how many episodes we'll get.

We got a host of new information on Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced via a Ubisoft AMA, some disappointing and some exciting!

Main highlights:

- Hidden Blade combat is NOT in the remake, but there is a new ability to do hidden blade take downs in combat

- Dual swords are the primary weapon, so it seems like picking up weapons is gone

- Map size is the same but there are new islands and new locations in cities, the map is more dense with content

- Kenway’s fleet is now built into the game, no need for the companion app

- Parry noise and visual effect is being toned down after fan feedback

- All old shanties return and a host of new ones, some are related to story characters

- Auto-navigation has been added, so you can have the ship pilot itself to markers

- All side activities return including whale hunting

- There is blood but no dismemberment

- The classic wanted system is back, pirate hunters will pursue you with high notoriety

- All original outfits will return

- The bar minigames are all back

- Social stealth makes a return and is aiming to be faithful

- Memory corridor is back

- Controls are completely remappable and the HUD is fully customizable as well

- You can turn off the parry noise

- A compass was chosen to replace the mini-map in order to keep your eyes on the seas
This Bama team has been incredibly frustrating to watch all year.

All the Murph defenders want to point to the record and offensive numbers to show he's changed his philosophies, but he still does inexplicably dumb shite almost every game (sticking with players who have no business starting, substituting at bizarre times, having our best hitters bunt people over, etc.).

WHY THE frick CAN'T ANYONE ON THIS TEAM HIT A CHANGEUP!?

After last weekend I may have to take this weekend off from watching

Right, but I'm curious to see how connected it is to the universe. Like, are Leon, Claire, Ada, or even Marvin making an appearance?

I (and I assume a lot of other RE fans) love the video game characters, so how are they going to make me care about a random NPC running around the city as part of a side plot? That's rhetorical, but that's why I'm tempering my expectations.

It looks like it could be a good horror movie, but will it be a good RE movie?
I liked Barbarian but did not like Weapons, so I'm keeping my expectations in check.

Also, so far the trailer looks like "Resident Evil" in name only, so I guess we'll see what easter eggs they include and how noticeable it is that it's taking place during the events of RE2.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I'd love a faithful adaptation of at least some of the games. :dunno:

AC Black Flag Resynced: HUD Deep Dive!
-Ubisoft is bringing "Modern Immersion" to the Caribbean.
-Fully Modular HUD: Toggle every element (VFX, health bars, etc.) or use presets from "Default" to "Disabled."
-New Combat Depth: Introduction of a 'Defense' mechanic. Break an enemy's stance for takedowns—watch for their hat to fall off if you play HUD-less!
-No RPG Stats: Devs confirm NO levels, NO gear scores, and NO progression gates.
-Contextual UI: Elements only appear when needed to keep your screen clean while sailing.
-Deep Customization: Every element (blood effects, VFX, enemy indicators, etc.) can be toggled individually.

This is why I have a section in my movie stuff for what I call "Millennial Horror" which is the era that Scream kicked off. Scream is its own thing, but that style and era led to like the Final Destination movies, I know What You Did Last Summer series, etc. The Faculty, Idle Hands, etc.

Exactly.

It's kind of funny to me that Wes Craven essentially took what he learned from New Nightmare and perfected it for Scream. Scream was obviously significantly more successful (and deservedly so), but I feel like New Nightmare is a bit of a forgotten film from that era.

The Thing is a final four worthy movie but for this particular round it sucks!

r/horror's Top 100 Horror Films ranking has The Thing #1 and Scream #4.

I think The Thing is superior, but Scream winning this round likely speaks more to the average age of the voters here rather than the quality of the movies.

Good to know!

Will definitely be interested to hear your thoughts once you make it through S2 & S3!

Enjoy!
