I had a jackass tailing me last month that was driving an Impala. He was wearing no shirt, had tattoos all over his chest, and was smoking a cigarette. Dumbshit was tailing right up behind me through downtown. Classic Impala driver.

Did they merge or move the appropriate lane when they saw the first sign 1 mile before the lane ended?
Zipper merging works... if you don't wait until the last minute to merge.
Somehow, in all the time I've been driving, I've never been the one getting over at the last minute. I will occasionally take pity on the idiots that waited until the last minute to merge.

I have a different issue. some frick behind me feels the need to merge faster than me so she speeds up to 80, preventing me from merging

I'm really trying to restrain myself from using a bunch of 4 letter words that will get me banned. These idiots fark up traffic for miles behind them, and don't care. Old people, I sort of forgive, I'm learning about vision issues. They should also just drive off the overpass.

If I have room available I’ll move over a lane to allow the cars entering the highway. Usually I’m pretty easy going driver but I do hate rude drivers.
Ex Driving up to the front and expecting others cars to let them in. People who wave at you expecting you to basically stop to allow them access - usually this is on 2 lane road.

Merging at the beginning of a merge lane slows shite down, no matter how you perceive it through your road rage goggles.
In a perfect world, all cars merge towards the end.
It is the insecurities of the drivers Already in the lane that typically screw it up.

You sound like you don’t know that merging may involve either speeding up or slowing down to match the speed of traffic and fit into an available slot.

You screw up traffic either way when you merge at 45 in a 65. People that drive too slow cut the capacity of a given roadway by significant amounts. Read a book called "Traffic."

I’ll let you merge, unless I see you speeding up in the right lane to cut in line, on the one way road we travel, if I’m in my 2000 sierra w/ only liability. I give a little more space if I’m in my 90k SUV, which I don’t own/drive.
