re: Pardon Me, But Why Does ULM Exists?

I have no dog in the fight as I went to school out of state, but I'm going to go ahead and say it. Those with engineering degrees from LSU or other schools in LA typically out perform ULM's CM graduates in the contracting world.
Let the Downvotes fly.

Damn
Seeing as how you couldn't even qualify academically to get in to ULM, you should probably not be casting disparaging stones.

Besides, if you haven't ever met a ULM student, they're not exactly setting the world on fire.
Using country grammar while posting about closing a university: priceless

I see it as nothing more than an extension campus of LSU. A convenience for the peeps up there.

I can only assume there are so many universities for the same reason there were charity hospitals. That is, Louisiana got so much money from oil/gas exploration that it could afford every luxury the politicians wanted. Oil/gas leases, royalty payments, severance tax collections, it was a TON of money and they wanted to spend every penny.

have a BS in Pharmacy,
MSTiger, did you get your degree in the early 80s. I ask because most Pharmacy schools today (including your alma mater) require a PhD. I read that pharmacy transitioned into PharmDs.
EDIT: Just double checked, apparently you need an undergrad (or approximate credit requirements) + 4 year of pharm school to be a PharmD. BS pharmacy doesnt have the weight it used to have.

I had some friends who lived in that Olin dorm. I used to go visit Funroe and crash there for a weekend. Lots of cheap beer was consumed within its walls.

There are s lot of issues with your post from a grammar, expression, and logic standpoint.
Let's try to focus on not shitting on others' lives on allegedly not being educated. I have a sister who went there, and she writes better than you do, and she's working on an MBA now.

It's a great university with great programs. If you want to start dumping universities then look right in LSUs backyard.
I grew up in Baton Rouge and did not want to go to college there so I went to ULM. Stayed in state and far enough away to have a great college experience.
I also have a CM degree from there and have done very well for myself.

Not going to read the thread but I'll bet its full of folks mentioning the one or two good degree programs the school offers.
Those programs could be replicated elsewhere. There is zero reason, besides politics, for that area of the state to have three 4 yr institutions and a community college.

1st or 2nd (depends on who you believe) ranked nursing school in the USA.
Why do we have Grambling and La Tech within 2 miles on each other? shouldn't it be combined to Grambling Tech?

Oh come the F on
You have a link for that?
I'll bet they aren't in the top 100.

It exists because South La kids need a place to go to school, too.

I mean Unicorns fell like they have been oppressed by other Equidae, to the point where it as if they don't exist - like they're fantastic beasts.
They want to reinforce that fact by reminding everyone that Unicorn Lives Matter.

You don't know what you are talking about. PharmD transition came about much more recent than the 80s. Also no one cares whether a person has a BS in pharmacy from a long time ago or a new PharmD as long as they are board certified. Anyway, it seems like this guy doesn't even do anything medical anymore, so it really doesn't matter.
