Absolutely. Publicly funded HBUs are an outdated drain on this state. It's not like they serve a specific location. They are literally right next door to bigger universities.

Lsu is the flagship. The rest should be 2 year schools. If people are willing to travel for these great programs I'm sure they would go to BR.
Give all the LSUS med money to LSUHSC too.
I'm only half joking. However there are way too many schoos and one good program isn't a university.

The real reason is that back in the day oil/gas was booming around the area and there was so much money they built a college which then turned into a university. They had a great geology program due to the oil/gas in the area, now there isnt even a geology program.
