This thread makes me happy.

However, I must say that I'd shut down Grambling, Southern, LSU-A, McNeese, and SUNO before shutting down ULM.

Considering they have a Nationally ranked nursing school and a top rated Pharmacy school. I'd say they are relevant..

ULM has got to go. If a water ski team is supposedly evidence it's making a return on the taxpayer's investment, there's no question we've got to board it up.

Imagine if those didn't grow out of the ground and could be moved.

Monroe isn't some peach either.

La Tech is generally considered the better school so make ULM/Grambling two-year schools that feed into La tech. I'll never understand why there are three public 4-year schools servicing that area.

Both La tech and ULM have aviation programs. Why is that necessary? such a waste of tax payer money.

Extra baggage: the extra LSU satellite campuses. Except maybe Shreveport, but Shreveport folks can just go to Tech, as they already do anyway. Then Nicholls. Maybe even Northwestern. Definitely Grambling. Seriously, there's nothing there. Ruston is honestly super tiny, and the Grambling kids have to go there to have fun.

Tech and ULM do fine up there. They've got some programs which compliment each other. Let ULL be southwestern Louisiana's school. And LSU is LSU.

Sure they could be moved. Just like LSU Engineering could be moved to Tech since it's an Engineering school.

By your thinking we can just move LSU to Crowley...

I graduated from NLU's Rx school. Not much choice in the matter. It was either there or Xavier.

McNeese

Why McNeese? It's the only college in that part of the state. Sure ULL is 70 miles away, but ULM and Tech are 30 miles apart, and Grambling 5 minutes from Tech. Seems like a lot more overlap there.

Tech students keep Grambling open by taking courses there that they can't pass at Tech

LaTech wants nothing to do with that cesspool and the town it's in.
