Definitely either a citizen Eco drive or a seiko.

Many of the actual real life ballers I know frequently wear one of those brands.

I had a Citizen get stolen a while back. Will probably get another one soon. The eco thing is a lot easier to work with than the mechanical charger on my other watch. I have to remember to put it on the damn winder or it'll go dead after a day and a half

Check out Massdrop for some good watch deals. May have to wait for the style you want to come up though.

Check out this website Long Island Watch and check out the Orient's. Automatic movements and considered a very good watch for the money by most watch aficionados. They have several good looking dress watches. The Bambino is a favorite of many. FYI many of them are out of stock, but they're getting more in.

I second the Long Island Watch / ORIENT recommendation. The Bambino is nice, but my personal favorite is the rose-gold ORIENT Curator which I purchased from them last year for $229 (retails for $440). Nice watch that, frankly, looks like it might cost hundreds more.

Up your budget $100 and get a Tissot so you can separate yourself from the Sieko and Citizen wearers in that price range.

I don't wear mine all that often but I still have a Rolex and a Tag Heuer.

In all fairness, I didn't buy the Rolex though. It was passed down to me.

Saw a post by "Broke" and he mentioned Orient.

Did some research and got an Orient Mako. Long Island Watch had the best price. Great watch and service.

I'd get a B-Uhr flieger from Laco. Badass steel case designed by some Germans.

$209 on eBay.

It'd be absolutely beautiful, only downside is that the days are in German...which is kind of cool actually.

A Rolex is the type of watch a company gives you with the company logo engraved on the back of it when you've been there for 30 years. Congrats, you paid $9k for the same brand watch that Joe from accounting now wears. Sweet.

The poster who bragged about his Rolex is a douche.

Anyone (you) who tries to act like a Rolex is not a significant watch is a douche.

Y'all deserve each other. Let him enjoy his Datejust and you can ball out with your F1 racing stripe Tag.

What is the over/under on watch threads in the OT?

Has to be set at 150 since I'd say this time 2014.

He meant on the face. But OP, if you want to go cheap and dont wear it often, just go to aliexpress.com and search mens watches. Find one you like, and buy it. If it breaks, buy another one. They are cheap, but some really look nice. Or a daniel wellington if you like leather straps. LINK
You can find it cheaper than that one, I just linked the actual DW site.
