re: Anyone willing to admit you didn't vote today? - SirSaintly
Nope, didn't vote and haven't since Bush/Cheney when I was 18 and still thought my vote mattered. I've learned through Bush, Obama, Trump, etc etc etc that no matter what a-hole/holes are in charge, nothing really changes in my day to day life. I remember when the majority of my friends lost ...

re: How close are you and your S/O's personalities? - SirSaintly
We're pretty much opposites personality wise, but we're on the same page for the important stuff like how to spend our money, values, child rearing etc. Would be boring to be with someone who was just like me. The important thing is we respect each other and value the others opinions, even if we don...

re: The Haunting of Hill House-Netflix - SirSaintly
Finished it the other day as well and I really liked it. Everything about it was really well done. The only thing I didn't really care for was the ending and the long speeches about love etc. Seemed kind of sappy. Otherwise though I really thought it was great. ...

re: Alcohol for adults at kid's birthday party - SirSaintly
I find that hard to believe.
Definitely depends on the school. St. Catherine, St. Angela etc... Not too trashy. Any Catholic School on the Westbank or in Kenner? Probably pretty trashy...

re: Alcohol for adults at kid's birthday party - SirSaintly
So you are saying kids can never be present when adults are having a beer or two? Some people actually think like that.
It blew my mind when I first moved to Dallas. Went to the Balloon Festival cause we were looking for something to do one weekend. Wandered around for a...

The Kids Are Alright[ABC Series] - SirSaintly
Anyone watching this? It's a sitcom set in the 70's about a Catholic family with like 8 kids... All boys. Really well done. The redhead kid is great and the actress who plays the mom is awesome. Really solid show and definitely work a watch...

re: Those of you who married money, tell me how this works... - SirSaintly
You gotta knock up the wife and have her whine about how the house is too small now that you have a kid etc. Then her parents buy yall a huge house, but have a lawyer draw up paperwork making sure you'll never get the house if you get divorced  Buddy of mine from school married into some ol...

re: Mega Millions win - what do you purchase - SirSaintly
I'd retire and travel all over the world for a few years. Then when I'm older, get a nice motorhome and travel this country. Don't really need many things, but I'd be able to go mountain biking, skiing, camping, hiking, kayaking etc whenever I wanted to with the best equipment....

re: A Star Is Born--2 Hrs of My Life I'll Never Get Back - SirSaintly
This reads like someone who went into the movie wanting to not like it because it was popular.... you seem unhappy and miserable tbh
Have no idea about OP, but I was really looking forward to this movie and couldn't wait to go. I was extremely disappointed(for reasons explained...

re: Do you ever just wake up and drink a beer? - SirSaintly
Had a friend that would do this. He wouldn't even get out of bed, he'd just reach over for the warm bottle of beer on his nightstand left over from when he wentvto bed the night before and finish it. He's dead now. From cirrhosis of the liver....

re: A Star Is Born - SirSaintly
It's a a terribly sad story that unfortunately happens all the time.
It was a sad ending yet I felt nothing and I'm not some macho guy either. I've cried at movies before, but with this one, I was just glad it was over. The poster who commented on Cooper's acting made a good ...

re: A Star Is Born - SirSaintly
I think you're the second person to say this. That is exactly what would happen in todays world, and the music wasn't supposed to be good for that reason. You weren't supposed to like it, just like cooper's character didn't like it
I thought they'd turn her into an Adele type si...

re: A Star Is Born - SirSaintly
I'm with you. Thought the acting was fantastic. Truly believed Cooper was a hardcore drunk. GaGa was great too. Just really didn't believe them as some great epic love. I really didn't even see why she would want to get involved with an obvious drunk. Loved the music and will listen to the sound...
