Now that Geauxjudge is in prison, I want to know who sent his posts to The Blue Hog. The article linked earlier in the thread says a LSU fan sent them here to investigate his posts. I know you're reading this baw. Geauxjudge is in prison, time to come forward.

How in the frick did he think that *wouldn't* get out?

I'm assuming campaign contributions in Arky are open record

Corrupt judges deserve more than 10 years, imo. That's a sacred trust for a democracy.

Yeah, that is a light sentence for a judge receiving bribery.

He was convicted in March 2016.

I'm very surprised he's only beginning his sentence now.

Unless I read it wrong, it sounded like a poster from TD asked the reporter to figure out who he was and if what he was doing was illegal.
The reporter dug a little, found out and spread it like wildfire.

He had been allowed to stay out until his legal avenues were exhausted.

nah, he took money to reduce the verdict in a nursing home case. So bribery. The Charlize Theron stuff just came out while they were investigating him.

In his original plea, Maggio admitted reducing a $5.2 million jury verdict against a Greenbrier nursing home owned by Michael Morton of Fort Smith after Gilbert Baker, a former Republican senator from Conway, had arranged multiple contributions from Morton to PACs that were to funnel the money to Maggio for a planned race for state Court of Appeals. Neither Baker nor Morton has been charged with a crime. Both deny wrongdoing.

He reduced a fine 4.2MM and the owner of the nursing home fed his campaign fund...

Is he out on good behavior? Would be cool if he started posting again. Not like he’s got anything else to lose.

IMHO- When you pay your debt to society for a non violent crime, you have a clean slate. People screw up. They pay their debt. They return to the world and we don’t act like dicks to them.
