It will be a glorious day to see those liberal elite Hollywood actors fall on hard times and have to liquidate their multimillion dollar homes. They wanted woke?!... They are all about to be woke to the realization of how much the agenda they push will cost them.

Wow. But whatever. I haven’t paid to see a movie in a theater since 1987. Plus the last time I was even in a movie theater it was 2000 and those tickets were a gift.

I had no idea they were on. I’m not going to make an effort to watch it, I probably would have had it in in the background. I think Bluey was on most of the night for my kid.

I finally saw The Shape of Water a couple months back...

The part where she fills up the entire bathroom with water in 10 minutes from a sink and faucet made me irrationally mad.

What’s interesting is my local ABC affiliate spent 10 minutes this morning covering the highlights of the Oscars. You’d think it was one of the most popular events to happen in a given year.

Yeah and people are fleeing cities for suburbs entirely because of a temporary pandemic

Since I didn't see a single movie in a real theater in 2020, I had no interest in watching the show.

It's so weird

I mean, just like the urban flight thing I'm sure it's a contributing factor (COVID). But that these folks are so invested in defending the antics of a group of unlikable elites that a huge swath of the country finds obnoxious is just weird.

Just because they're leftists doesn't mean you have to support them. Deep down I think our resident Democrats know the average American of any political stripe doesn't love being preached to by out of touch wealth douchebags about privilege and global warming and the sin of being white.

This is honestly probably one of the biggest factors. Not a lot of movies came out that could gain popularity with the general crowd.

I typically see two or three of the movies nominated but this year I didn't see a single one although Sound of Metal looks good.
