Have you read the slightest thing about the actual case or are you just going off ESPN headlines and people's tweets?

Penn State fans and now OSU fans have shown me how undying support of an athletics program can make people pretty irrational regarding POS members of their preferred team or program.

Grown men coaching, plus covering up adults, is no comparison to one 15 year old adolescent. Not to mention the PSU coach (and Michigan State gymnast coach) had multiple upon multiple incidents.

most of you haven't actually read the details of the case, just react to headlines.

Dude, it’s been in the headlines two consecutive years now. A LOT of people know the story because it is out there and has been.

Did he get in any trouble for raping LSU?

Leave it to an Arkantard fan... Coach O is going to stuff his fat cajun cock into your helpless mouths for a 3rd year in a row.

Just curious as to how this story became public

He failed to register as a sex offender, which was a condition of his sentence. He was cited and required to appear in court and a reporter got a hold of the citation somehow. Game over.

Court records from Heimlich's case are no longer public.
In August 2017, at the five-year anniversary of his guilty plea, Heimlich was eligible to have his case sealed. Heimlich told the Times he did so, and Pierce County's juvenile court this week confirmed it has no record of the case.

quote:

Despite the sealing of Heimlich's juvenile case, his standing as a registered sex offender is not clear-cut.

In August, a Washington judge ended the requirement for Heimlich to register in that state as a sex offender, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

But Heimlich is still registered in Oregon as a sex offender and is required to maintain that registration, according to Capt. Timothy Fox of the Oregon State Police.
"The relief or satisfaction of registration requirements in another state does not affect registration requirements in the state of Oregon, as Oregon is a lifetime registration state," Fox said in an email.
"The registered sex offender must petition for relief within Oregon separately."

The incident happened in Washinton in 2012, which was two years prior to his arrival on campus, but he was required by law to register as a sex offender in Oregon upon his arrival at college.

quote:

This conviction, which was kept under wraps since he was a minor at the time, reportedly came to light after a recent sweep of annual registration lapses for sex offenders by a local police sergeant turned up Heimlich’s name.

He's truly lucky to be alive. I'm amazed the child's dad didn't kill him.

I've read some about it and there's what seems to be family drama above the kids head involved
Not really. The victim's parents got divorced and two years later Luke's brother, the victim's father, brought the child in for her report of abuse. The girl convinced police and experts in child abuse that what happened actually happened. She has not recanted her story after all these years.

Horrible story. This dude clearly deserves what he got. But stepping back, what a tragedy that he had that kind of temptation. Thankful I never had to "resist" the urge to touch a kid. Crazy how fricked up some people's brains are.

I don't think a person's life should be ruined because of something they did as a young teen

An 11 year old is a young teen. A 15 year old isn’t. At 15, I had a job and was going to keggers. I damn sure knew that molesting little kids was wrong.

So he admitted he did it again last year in a public statement just to cover for the family and lawyer I guess.

He was 13 when he started molesting her.

He stopped when he was 15.

Someone posted in one of the other threads on this subject that it was supposedly a frick up on the police department that allowed this to be made public. If that is true I wouldn't be surprised if the guy tried to sue for defamation & lost wages or some shite.

It all came out because he failed to register as a sex offender in Oregon. He’s from Washington. Said he didn’t know he had to.

I don't think ruining someone's career prospects for a crime (even a serious one) committed at 15 is just. 15 year olds are mostly okay but subject to bizarre stupidity at times, I sure was back then and I'd hate to be judged by my actions back then now that I'm ... um, older.

bullshite, jocks are psychopaths that think they can get away with anything because they’re popular. Good to see one finally getting justice. I wish they could prosecute them for breaking my game boy
