I don't know about that. For one thing he'd start off in the minors... do you have any idea how fricking miserable the fans at a minor league ballpark could make your life? He'd get eaten alive.

I dont support the guy at all, I'm pointing out his mistake. Sounds like if he had stayed and gone to school in Washington his case would have been sealed. His sex offender status would have run out and he would likely be drafted.

Or you know he could’ve not fingered a 4 year old.

How much do you think this guy regrets his decision to go to Oregon State now? It has likely cost him millions and put his crime on the front pages across the country.

He probably regrets molesting his niece more. He only has himself to blame.

Or who knows, he might still be a pedo and proud.

I'm sure his brother was pretty confused emotionally when the accusations came to light.

His brother has no contact with him anymore. To me, that’s as telling as anything as to his guilt.

What about the little girl emotionally scared for life? When does her second chance come? Let me remind you, this wasn't a one time thing.

quote:

Luke Heimlich admitted to molesting a little girl from at least 2010 through much of 2011.

quote:

According to an arrest affidavit, Heimlich would "close the door to his room" and in repeated attacks over two years "pulled down [the girl's] pants and touched her." The girl was just 4 years old when the abuse started and 6 when it ended. Documents told Heimlich she "told him to stop, but he wouldn't."

He was 15 years old. That's old enough to know damn well that it's wrong to do what he did.

You’re a dumb frick. 15 year old boys are not just kids.

Then why aren't they tried as adults?

Also, it's funny how college football players are "just kids" but a 15 year old, who is literally a kid, is "not just a kid". I get that what he did was disgusting and wrong, but come on with that bullshite. He was a kid. His brain still isn't fully developed 8 years later.

Speaking of coming on with the bullshite, this pos molested a child for two years. That's fricking sick, no other way to slice it. The last place this poor excuse for a human should be is around a ball park.

The fact that you’re excusing what he did is all I need to know about you.

Oof. I didn't realize I was responding to someone who cannot read. I explicitly stated what he did was wrong and disgusting.

Just because he is a kid doesn't mean he isn't capable of doing terrible things. The two are not mutually exclusive.

You do know the brain still progresses until then, right? It's not like we're all shitting diapers and blowing bubbles in the bathtub and then on our 21st BOOM magically become reasonable adults.

At 13-15, you know damn well from right and wrong.

I sure hope so because they let me drive a car by myself when I was 15 and was able to buy alcohol when I was 18.

And yet we want to let 15,16 and 17 year olds like David Hogg shape national gun policies!

I never said he didn't know right from wrong. Toddlers know right from wrong, that's not the point. Kids do things they know are wrong all of the time. That's part of being a kid. As you grow up and your brain develops you stop doing things you know are wrong.

I wasn't defending his actions or saying that he should be forgiven because he was a kid when it happened. I was responding to a poster that said 15 isn't a kid. It most definitely is still a kid.

Unless you're a sociopath with violent tendencies.

Unless you're a psychopath.

Or unless you're, you know, a pedophile.

Some people can be kids their whole lives.

In this case, this boy was molesting this little girl for 2 years...he knew exactly what was he was doing was wrong.....at 15 years old he may be a minor but you cant use the excuse that "he's just a kid"

A 15 year old is an “in between” person. They are neither children; nor are they adults. He’s an adolescent.

You can put the blame on him being a kid all you want, but at the end of the day....I blame his parents for raising a monster.
