What does a guy like Luke do with the rest of his life now? Live with his parents?

Try to craft a career that doesn’t involve the public spotlight, because nobody wants to hire someone to be a face of their organization when they carry that kind of publicly known baggage.
Also try to resist the urge to diddle little girls. I’ve got some concern that those kinds of urges if they are had at 15 aren’t something that just go away tbh

He's truly lucky to be alive. I'm amazed the child's dad didn't kill him.
I'm sure his brother was pretty confused emotionally when the accusations came to light.

If he has been out of trouble for the last 7 years, then he deserves a second chance. The great thing about this country is that people can screw up and then redeem themselves.

He didn’t steal CDs. He didn’t get in a fight at school.
He penetrated a 4 year old with his fingers all the way until she was 6. He was 13-15. frick your second chance. He’s probably more likely to do it again.

I remember reading in one of the articles, when it all came to light last year, that surprisingly most people that do such a thing at that age have very low rates of recidivism after the initial offense(s). Pretty crazy considering how adult child molesters always seem to reoffend.
But, obviously, that doesn't mean folks like that shouldn't be watched for a period of time. Caution is most definitely wise.

TH03 gets it.

I am not defending this kid in the least but Ray Lewis murdered a guy and was the face of the Ravens for a decade after and now is on TV a lot for commentary.

2 wrongs don’t make a right.

Is that worse than molesting an innocent little child for years?

He wouldn’t be if he’d murdered a 6 year old girl.

They absolutely do not. I just wanted to point that out because most people completely overlook it now.
I do wonder if he had gone pro after high school (don't know if he was drafted or not but since he was the high school player of the year in Washington, I would imagine he was), made it to the pros and then this info came to light if he would be shunned by MLB or not.
I guess we will never know.

Well the difference is Ray Lewis wasn’t found guilty and didn’t plead guilty to murder. Only obstruction.

He'll be legit Casey Anthony style. One quick google search of his name pops up a million different articles that you can't run from.
Even moving out of state won't help him. FWIW, if he in fact did this, he should burn in hell. Wonder if his parents have been ostracized as well over this.

OJ wasn't found guilty either.
I am glad owners and GMs care more about integrity than talent but I bet almost everyone on here (myself included)at the very least likes Ray Lewis even if you aren't a Ravens fan. I doubt anyone on here despises or won't watch a program he is on because of his past court case.

OJ wouldn’t stop fricking up though. Ray went into his “Jesus mode” and everyone forgot.
Luke admitted to the court that he diddled this girl. He can rot.

15 year old raping a 6 year old. Nope, nope, nope. Not buying the crap you are selling. Just no!

In August, a Washington judge ended the requirement for Heimlich to register in that state as a sex offender, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
But Heimlich is still registered in Oregon as a sex offender and is required to maintain that registration, according to Capt. Timothy Fox of the Oregon State Police.
"The relief or satisfaction of registration requirements in another state does not affect registration requirements in the state of Oregon, as Oregon is a lifetime registration state," Fox said in an email.
I dont support the guy at all, I'm pointing out his mistake. Sounds like if he had stayed and gone to school in Washington his case would have been sealed. His sex offender status would have run out and he would likely be drafted.
Going to Oregon State which is a lifetime sex offender state has made this a crime that cant be covered up.
How much do you think this guy regrets his decision to go to Oregon State now? It has likely cost him millions and put his crime on the front pages across the country.
