Medication dosages are mostly calculated as milligrams per kilogram.

Bmi and drug dosing use kg’s, although I agree that patients should be told their weight in pounds here in the US.

The metric system is easier and less prone to error when the doctor needs to prescribe you meds based on your weight.

Most meds are KG based. For example, insulin is calculated 0.5 units per KG. Now, they could easily calculate this themselves on the backend, but that's why.

And most meds are made in India, other places anyway.

Went to the doc this morning and the scale shows both kg and pounds.
