IMO Blue Bloods are teams that were good long ago, but not necessarily teams that are still good today.

I would say OSU and Bama (amongst others) are certainly blue bloods and are still great programs today.

It seems like when I was a youngster (60s and 70s) players made FTs at a much higher percentage. I remember many players making over 85% of their FTs. The big men (centers and power forwards) were the worst, usually upper 70s to lower 80s percentage wise. Guards FT percentages were usually in the upper 80s and above.

Or it could be a version of the Mandela Effect.

Bummer, I only budgeted for 25 more years.

Several years ago my brother (retired USAF) were in a bar. This gut in a Ranger hat passed by. He was looking at by brother pretty hard. When he came back by he asked if he had met my brother before. My brother replied that it was possible that he had given the Ranger a ride before.

They talked a few minute and he moved on. After he left my brother said "I love Ranger's. They're my second favorite people guarding my plane because I know if my plane is damaged all the Rangers are dead."

I asked who was his favorite?

He said "Marines, because if I get back and all the Marines are dead my plane is still undamaged!!"
