Wrong. fricking dead wrong. Lol @ your retarded self for thinking private residents can make valid arrests and seizures based on a covenant. Good luck getting me to pull over and let you place cuffs on me, Paul Blart.

Writing people up for 2 mph over the limit? Yeah that would get thrown out quickly.

Yeah, you laugh. But I’ve seen everyone from 16 year old girls with learners permits to 40 year old men cry at the sight of a citation for violating posted speed limits by 2-4 mph over and have them standing tall before the man. Speeding is a major source of revenue and you’re kidding yourself if you think the parish is about to turn away cold hard cash for any reason.

Our DUI task force raked in a little less than a quarter million dollars in 2017 alone. And that was the first year that unit was in existence. The arrest authority granted by the sheriff is part of an initiative reached by the board and the council to combat crime in places regular patrols are designed to target. And yes, that includes the confiscation of private property. Especially when the suspect is believed to have been under the use of illicit narcotics or makes the decision to resist arrest.

Why would you do this? 25mph is too slow most places to start with.

I don't have an HOA. The covenants are actually written into the townships rules and regulations. So there's literally government oversight on it. They crack down on having trash cans visible. And it's all part of the property taxes I already pay. I love it.

I'd rather deal with the gaudy, tacky, giant wood carved eagle in my neighbors front yard than live in a HOA neighborhood.

Why people willingly choose to live in fascist communities is beyond me.

My first six months in traffic the judge threw out 90% of my tickets unless they were 5 mph and over. I also got a lot of heat from my supervisors for doing this. I also had a lot of complaints from the people you do not want complaints from . My supervisor took me aside and explained how to not be like Barney Fife from the Andy Griffin show.

Over time I guess you will learn to balance your patrols or you might be out of a job. If the wrong person complains especially without civil service protection. The sheriff is elected and at the end of the day will say bye bye to protect his or her votes. Even if you are apart of city police no matter what civil service protection you may have will fly out the door when a board member, councilmperson, or alderman gets pissed off from complaints about you. We had a guy over janitorial supplies and basically cleaned bathrooms for six months because he pissed the wrong person off before he quit.

We don't have a hoa but the neighborhood watch takes care of stuff like this. And we'll take care of you if you don't pay your dues. That's a pretty birdhouse it'd be a shame if something happened to it

25mph to 20mph. Enforcement began today. Should have seen the looks on some of the a-hole’s faces I stopped to issue warnings this afternoon.

Are your roads private? How in the hell can a HOA issue warnings or tickets? Or are you a cop sitting in your unit in your own neighborhood?

Try doing 22 or 23mph through this neighborhood and it won’t matter. You’ll be forfeiting hundreds of dollars in traffic citations. Maybe even closer to a thousand if I pull you over. I’ll light you up for everything last thing I can think of.

Has to be a troll. If you aren't a cop and you "pull someone over" you are going to jail.
