Offered a job in Caribou Maine, or stay in Atlanta

I was offered an IT job up in Maine FT but am torn if it's time to move out of my parents house. I have never lived on my own before. I don't know what winters are like up there either. Do I need a suburu or something? I'm single, no kids, and no debt too. What would you guys do?? Any advice is welcomed!

That part of Maine is way more red than Georgia these days. I’d say pack a sweater and brush up on your French

Obvious answer in most cases is Maine, i have checked out property in Caribou before (online) and it seems really nice .. BUT if you are young (seems like you are) and single, the options for dating in Atlanta are about a million times better than in Maine.

Maine is wonderful and has great outdoors…in the summer.

IT job that isn't fully remote?

I'd say frick yeah for the experience. Not sure I'd want to live the rest of my life there, but a few years would be alright, if you like the outdoors or are willing to learn. Otherwise you'll probably be miserable. The other thing to consider is that being out of sight, out of mind in an out of the way location can be a good or bad thing for your career. It can go either way.

You should take it unless you have a significant other. The town is run by:

Winters suck arse but Maine is a gorgeous state. They have no poisonous snek. University of Maine’s mascot is the black bears and they upset MS State in ‘04. That’s all I got.
I’d take the job and go find a pale white Maineiac woman to make babies with.
