How can you fix a computer remotely if the issue is an internet connectivity problem?

If I were young I’d go to Maine, even for a year or two if nothing else.

Do it - you can always move back (not to your parents house, but nearby) or go to another job in another part of the country. Experience stuff like this while you're young!

Maybe in Portland, but not in Caribou. Dude is going to be a lonely motherfricker in Caribou.

.. BUT if you are young (seems like you are) and single, the options for dating in Atlanta are about a million times better than in Maine.

frick that. Boring. You are young so go adventure on your own and get out from under your parents. Much more interesting than staying in a boring southern city with urban sprawl, libs and McMansions. I wouldn’t hesitate.

Bagged a bridesmaid from Maine at a wedding.

Ah, that was a good story. Fun time.

Maine is a beautiful place. The people are friendly and helpful, but also tough and proud. You may not make friends as quickly there as in the south, but when you do, they'll have your back.

There are many outdoor activities to enjoy, but like others have said, it's cold... Incredibly cold. Have you ever experienced -30 degrees before? I would absolutely move to Maine for a few years and would surely enjoy my time there. You would be within a fairly short distance to some pretty cool places in Canada and the U.S. Give it a shot if you can deal with the weather.

ETA- Just looked, the record low in Caribou is -41 degrees.

If you're young, single, and live at your parents house then I'd say go for it and see what happens.

This is a common misconception. I was near Augusta this year for the 4th of July and we hit 57 degrees Fahrenheit that day.

I was in Portland in October and it wasn’t cold at all. Not sure about Caribou, but I’m sure summers are awesome. Winters would suck though.

I'd go get some Maine justice.
