This. American kids with athletic ability generally aren’t being raised to develop their skills in a sport that doesn’t confer status or fortune.
The popularity of a given sport in this country plays into that. Parents want their kids in sports people will want to watch —->it reduces the talent pool within less popular sports at the youth level—->American kids who do play these sports aren’t as heavily tested as their European counterparts.
Cycle repeats itself, ensuring that European competitors are both more numerous and generally more skilled than their American counterparts

It’s a pun, dude. K means strikeout

The document lists MLB, NBA, NFL, Premier League and WNBA as examples of such leagues, but other top basketball leagues globally could also qualify.
Good luck enforcing that

If LSU is not in it, why should I care about any other Louisiana school?
Because that school will inevitably put out a Twitter graphic saying something like “Only Louisiana school to make NCAA tournament” as a shot at LSU
And then people here will lose their minds about it as if they do, indeed, care about what is said on the internet
It’ll go 4 pages and be a great read

he's back because of the nepotistic system that exists within the coaching profession, coupled with the debacle that Woody left us with, pretty sure Verge is afraid to open his mouth
He’s back because he’s being hired to do the things he is actually excellent at: coach up defensive lineman and recruit the State of Louisiana.
He deserved to be let go after 2020 and 2021, but let’s not pretend like he’s being handed the keys to the program again or we were forced into taking him back. He’ll be an asset doing for us exactly what he does best and nothing else

The only thing more frustrating than this team’s performance is having to watch some Pakistani guy’s stream constantly being interrupted by ads

Imagine if Derek Curiel’s LSU career had ended on that call
Give me ABS all day every day and take the ball-strike calling away from the umpires across all of college and pro baseball. There’s too much money in play these days for human error to factor into outcomes

No, I don’t. He doesn’t make the schedule, and I would doubt he even cares

Lane should start recruiting NFL UDFAs who still have eligibility. If we’re gonna burn it down, might as well burn the whole thing down

Vandy (the school many say should not be in the SEC)
No one is saying this, except perhaps those who don’t know history
Vanderbilt is a founding member of the SEC. They’ve been here since the league was formed in 1932. They aren’t going anywhere and shouldn’t
