The officer has to outweigh Blake by AT LEAST 80 pounds.

Exactly. That is like 10-15 more lbs of donut weight Blake would have to tear through.

It just isn't possible.

I did not see any of this in the video. In fact I saw a controlled takedown after the suspect resisted.

To me the weirdest part of the story is that the guy they were looking for was (is?) wanted for using a stolen credit card. And that's how they handled the arrest. That's insane to me.

$428M over the past 5 years.

Relative to the amount of time Blake spent on the ground, and if he decides to sue, yes, it will be huge.

Luckily , Rambo didn't ice him.

So you're cool with non uniformed unidentified officers taking down people in the street for nonviolent offenses with no prior history without identifying themselves?

Honestly not as "excessive" as I imagined, but the cop should still be fired. You do not have the right to just go around all vigilante justice on people. If a guy in plain clothes walked up to anyone on this board and did that without identifying themselves as a cop (even if they did its not much time to figure out what's going on), the first instinct is to fight back in some way (after taking a look at their hands first of course).

If body slamming someone who isn't resisting for a nonviolent fraud crime without identifying yourself as an officer is OK with you, what would he have had to do in that video for you to find the officer at fault?

Do it to a conservative, good ole boy white guy.

First of all, he didn't take down the suspect until the suspect started resisting. Secondly, there is no evidence to suggest the officer did not identify himself other than Blake's assertion.

One chart on Google says 125 puts you in the 94th percentile.

Take that fwiw

Ok, that's higher then I thought. But it's still not high enough for gifted programs. I think Florida it was a minimum of 130.

It's still fricked up they can legally discriminate against you for being too smart.

0:00-0:05= the officer attempting to place the suspect in a passive non-threatening posture.

0:06-0:08= The suspect shoves the cop and appears to be fighting him off with what I can only assume to be the intent of potentially disarming the police officer.

0:08-0:09= Controlled takedown of the suspect.
