Are they still running NOPD at 50% staffing?

Are they going to return 50% of millage collected for 1/2 of the promised police coverage?

I had the news on maybe yesterday morning or Friday morning and I wasn't completely listening.. I thought that's what I heard, but wasn't sure but I heard right. This bitch is blaming crime on COVID.

She has a lower IQ than even Lightfoot. She is extremely dumb.

I'll answer your 2nd question first... frick no. But you probably already knew that.

Allegedly, there are about 900 cops currently employed by NOPD. I think the target headcount is about 1750, but it's well above 900. Supposedly, a retention bonus has been authorized by the City Council based on years of service, to be payable in a lump sum sometime in March.
Expect to see this have the opposite effect than intended. Many senior officers have had enough and are just holding out for the retention bonus before filing their retirement papers. NOPD is a mess and LaToya isn't helping.

526 cars have been stolen in New Orleans since January 1...is this really correct?

It's an astounding number, but if not exact, it's in the ballpark. There was something crazy, like over 20 per day, having been stolen in the first 10 days of the year.

Rookie numbers. We were up to 597 as of yesterday. Surely it's over 600 by now.

One every 53 minutes. Even at a rate of 1 per hour, there would be 8,400 cars stolen in NOLA this year.

The Metropolitan Crime Commission report said the biggest issue the city is seeing is the alarming rate of car thefts. This year, there have been at least 597 reported stolen in Orleans Parish. That's an average of 27 a day.

In related news, CJ Gardner-Johnson's car was stolen after the Giants game in Philly. From the pot to the frying pan.

The fact that she was voted into that office proves how ignorant the voters in that city are. If you voted for her, you are far below average intelligence. That woman is a true embarrassment to this state.

LBJ still at it, but also the white guilt that came out of President Obama’s Presidency is still going strong in parts of this country. So, here we are. A couple generations of destroyed families, and now a bunch of white people 40 and younger that pretend to themselves they are heroes taking up for minorities.

She also sent a message to any future police chief that they work for her which will throw cold water on anyone interested in coming in from outside for the job

She clearly has no interest in having a sincere national search for a new chief

She wants a puppet and nothing more

It’s a politically run police department
