In Texas, using the parking brake is the law. A cop can always add that to the list of offenses when they pull you over because no one knows that this law exists.
quote:
§ 545.404. UNATTENDED MOTOR VEHICLE. An operator may not leave the vehicle unattended without: - stopping the engine; - locking the ignition; - removing the key from the ignition; - setting the parking brake effectively; and - if standing on a grade, turning the front wheels to the curb or side of the highway.

Officer, is your parking brake set?
No? Citizen’s arrest!

$600 for brake pads.
That is arse rape right there. Those people should be reported, imo.

You think those back pads, on the previous page, look like they need replacing?
Posted on 4/26/19 at 7:16 pm to Gaston
I got 4 rotors for less than that.

I was still hoping for a report that the wife traded services for services.

She could have gotten more than brakes if that’s the case.

Nothing wrong with those pads

If they're not chirping they are fine.

Blame yourself and her daddy for not making sure she’s a woman who’s well prepped to handle the situations you put her in.
They don’t do that to all women, just the dumb ones.

Many but not all cars have these, you can not depend on those alone.

First pic look almost new. Second pic look around 80%. If she's at 30k, I'd run it to 100k. FWIW, I just changed mine. I was running them like this

Last time my wife brought hers in with a flat tire, nail right in the middle on a new tire. Guy tells her you need a new tire and she says ok.
If the tire is a run flat, the tech is correct.

I think he meant what does the pad on the other side of the rotor look like. It's possible the two sides are wearing unevenly.

I did a whole Brembo upgrade for $500 myself. You got fricking robbed man.

Leave the rear brakes alone. 50K miles easy.
Most indy brake jobs are around $150
That's the bogus crap about new cars now. All the electronics and needing to reset after minor parts replacement.

I have the same year and model. I'm at 11k miles and have only done an oil change. Your work commute must be insane.
