Brake pads are an easy 40 minute change at home maybe.

Under 40 for the pads.

You got jacked

Don't be a tool. Change your own brake pads

Same thing with my wife a few months ago on her car. $600.

A wise brake pad salesman once told me, you could stick your head up a bull's arse, but wouldn't you rather take the butcher's word for it?

She was taking it on for an oil change and a software upgrade.

Did they have to replace the rotors as well?

The Audi dealer quoted me $850 to change my brake pads...and that was just for the rear pads.

I actually laughed on the phone when the tech told me.

Pads should cost no more than $40-$50 bucks. Maybe an hour labor. So tops should be about $150 at most.

Did they change out the rotors as well maybe?

I’d bet the salesman took her for a ride, both figuratively and literally.

Probably gave her the most expensive model of the most expensive brake they sell.

Same situation as op. She took it in to the dealership for an oil change and I didn't find out until she got home.

I would be ashamed to drive a box around. Seriously tho, are the pads made of titanium ?
