These places are good for about 2-4 trips. I don't understand why someone would go over and over again.

I would say 1 or 2 times is enough.

These places are for your non-golfer.

It will be amazing if this place is still in business after two years.

I originally downvoted because I thought you were copycatting fr33‘s post but no really added much more detail and content.

New Orleans going to have a knockoff TopGolf and a TopGolf and we can't even get just a simple public driving range in Mandeville.

the abandoned net poles

Repurpose them and rebuild the World’s Fair gondola that went across the river.

And when that fails, do some cutting and make wind chimes to hang from the bridge.

I actually think this place will do quite well. Great visibility for tourists driving to downtown and Dome area. Top Golf does not look like it will happen. They are retrenching nationally and dragging their feet in NOLA.

I have no idea what the people in this thread are talking about. This place is going to make a shite ton of money and be a fun new option in New Orleans.

I drive by it everyday, and somehow have miraculously not been pulled from my car and beaten to death. Bunch of idiots in here who hate anything related to New Orleans but will drive into war zone Baton Rouge on Saturday nights. Frick off.

TopGolf’s model has ran its course. This place will die a quick death.

We don’t have a TopGolf within 4 hours where I live most of the year so we go often when out of town. They are definitely crowded depending on the time of day. We like to go there and practice hitting balls when we see one.

It is in the fricking hood this will go well.
This will be like the Shamrock it will start out nice and by end of year 2 it will be overrun by the indigenous peoples and closed up. I can smell the heavy scent of weed and coconut oil

As the article points out, TopGolf is stalling and likely looking for way out of the deal. I’ll bet $100 it never gets built.

Do these kind of people like hanging out at golf places that serve expensive drinks?

Funny, I don't remember Times Picayune employees being raped and shot at that location even in the worst crime period in the early 90s. And now, Restaurant Depot, Home Depot, Zony Mash brewery, a gleeming new office building seem to do just fine for 10+ years despite your trepidation. The area is fine for commercial activity. Whether the business prospers will depend on the product.
