From Metry the interstate exits into the parking lot.
No it doesn't. You have to drive through the South Broad projects to get there.

I respectively disagree. Howard drives straight into the parking lot under the S Broad overpass after exiting from the Carrollton exit.
You just drive straight instead of taking a right at Xavier on whatever Jeff Davis is now.

At least be somewhat accurate if you are trying to shite on the place. Howard takes you directly to the parking lot.

Unless something changes access from S Broad is going to be impossible. It would also create a traffic clusterfrick right there if the do tie south broad to Howard.

I'll give it a year before a certain group comes in and destroys it...

I wouldn't rule it.iut completely, but Dave and Busters is fine, the casino is fine, Fulton alley is fine, Lakefront isn't my vibe, but remains mostly fine, the fly is fine, Crescent Park is fine.
All of those places present the perfect place for a shithole, but good ownership/management keeps shite straight.
Speaking of those type places, anyone been to The Batture yet?

These places are good for about 2-4 trips. I don't understand why someone would go over and over again. I was done after the second trip to Top Golf. I'd rather just go play.
TopGolf closest to us is just full of events or corporate gatherings, much moreso than just individuals going to play and practice. I think that's a HUGE piece of their revenue.
It's a solid birthday party or corporate outing spot.

Yes I was at the batture recently. Its really nice.
it is definitely more for families and kids than I expected. Its really pretty and open.
In the summer there wouldn't be nearly enough shade imo.
Many many many families with kids running around.
Kind of a missed opportunity to not have it also as a night time venue for adults

If you’re a fan of sea shanties, they put on a great show (New Orleans based).

is this the one they were building on the other side of the interstate from the superdome and the blender?

Just bring back Goony Golf!

The Top Golf project is dead, no one at the convention center just has the ball to say it out loud yet.

That was the alleged holdup with five o fore. CC and Top Golf were pushing back on the approvals for the completed five o fore due to either wording in the contract or trying to bully the business into flipping/going dry.

This and old school driving ranges where a $7 bucket of balls was the only cost.
A family trip to TopGolf hits $100 very quickly.

do you think most of the people in a TG at any given moment were just sitting around the house bored and thought "ya know what, I'm gonna go to topgolf!"?
I've been to TG probably 10-15 times and literally every single time was for a party, work function, event celebration of some kind, or just an organized large group hangout.

well yeah, I get 10x more enjoyment playing a round than going to TG. But I mean at 7pm if a group is hanging out and asks me to join them at TG I can' just say "sorry I'm about to hit the links instead"

I’ll give it a shot at least once, and I love playing golf.
