I'm not trying to shame you into that lifestyle. It seems like you are trying to put down the people who had kids though.

And fwiw, you can still travel and workout whenever you want with a kid or two. We do.

To this day my wife still detests how her mom forced her to take piano lessons as a young child.

Even though playing the piano is now absolutely her favorite hobby. She's pretty doggone good at it after playing for almost 20 years, is constantly trying to play new music on it, and just recently started a side gig giving lessons.

But all that doesn't matter to her, just because when she was 7 her mom signef her up for piano lessons without asking her, she sees that as a legit reason to still hold a grudge against mom... I will never understand.

A family member of mine went through it with her daughter. Some of it is a phase and some of it is your daughter thinks she runs the household. This is probably due being your child's friend and not their parent when they were younger or at least it was in the case of my family member. As the father you need to step in and take charge of this and put your daughter in her place. Talk with your wife then present a unified front while laying out to your daughter how it is going to be. The key to this though is to remain consistent and follow through on punishment when your daughter steps out of bounds. Do it now or you will be raising your grandkids.

does not interest me at all dude. sounds pathetic more than anything else. men are supposed to be out conquering and building things. not raising kids and reading bedtime stories. nope. never.

doctor turned me down for vasectomy already saying I'm not old enough. pure bs. or id be officially kid free for life.

I am a civil engineer, so I get to build plenty of things. Some of us can walk and chew gum too.

Kids are a blessing for me personally. That doesn't mean that its all roses and easy street. You obviously have a different perspective.

You must seek that out if you are reading it everyday. That’s a weird obsession.

Just interrupt them mid fight and ask if one of them can make you a sammich. That should help bring them together.

swear to God! It's like my wife looks for shite to fight with our daughter about. Certainly, she's a teenager and has her moments, but good Lord, it is a fricking war at the drop of a hat.
imy first marriage ended in large part because mom and daughter never stopped that shite.

That is why daughters need Dads around, to make sure their Mom doesn’t drive them nuts

The OT really makes a guy want to get married and have kids.

Y'all sound miserable as frick. Hope your wives are at least blowing you every blue moon for putting up with this shite.

The war on women is conducted by other women. No difference whether it is mother/daughter, sister/sister, girlfriend/girlfriend etc. Women are always looking for ways to F@ck with each other. Women walk into a room and immediately start calculating negatives and look for something to be pissed off about. Rarely can they chill if other women are around. They may be lucky and have that one person, where guys will have half a dozen baws to chill with. It is a rare event that i am at where some woman does not begin complaining about something ro someone (9 out 10 times another woman)

bullshite. Otherwise he wouldn’t have the problems that he has

I’ve said it before, but parents and specifically dads need to stop with the whole ‘my daughter is a princess and can do no wrong’ shite... they become awful teenagers, catty friends, terrible GFs, and then selfish arse childish wives

i agree to some extent. But I have seen Moms that won’t quit hammering on their daughters. Blowing everything out of proportion.

That's definitely not the approach here.

She's not coddled, but I definitely treat her with more respect (and less like a child) than her mother. When she's wrong, she's wrong and I tell her.

Even with the dust up over the TikToc, I told her that I could see where her mother was coming from because of the inherent issues with social media, but I also id not think it was a big deal in this instance.
