Cooking (both indoor and outdoor)
Drinking whiskey
Watches
Watching sports (if this is a hobby
)
Of those 4, the one that would lead to the most friendships would probably be drinking whiskey, there are many different whiskey groups in my small area, I'm sure there are plenty in Boston

Men of the OT, what are some hobbies you enjoy?
I love the outdoors and I love to fish, especially for salmon. I caught this beautiful specimen recently.

If I had the space to get into model trains I likely would - some of these layouts I've seen on Youtube are just ridiculously impressive.

My sister was good friends with a girl growing up whose dad had this badass model train track that went through their entire house. The track was up where the wall and ceiling meet where the crown molding would be, and there were openings cut out of the walls where it could go into each room. This thing went upstairs, back downstairs, everywhere but the attic, and it was a massive house in the Southwind neighborhood where the Memphis PGA event is held

I'm a guitarist. I love guns and everything to do with them. Camping. but I'm really big into relic hunting. I research old maps and get permission to dig where plantation homes stood in the 18th and 19th centuries.
I find coins from the mid 1700s and through the 1940s.
Buttons from the war of 1812 and Civil War. And a host of relics from all the mentioned time frames.
Boston and surrounding areas is a great place for relic hunting. Those guys find old house foundations up there and do quite well, even finding revolutionary war items.

I collect Coleman lanterns and stoves. I keep a few and sell a few.
Got anything rare or truly collectible?
Most of mine are run of the mill, but I did manage to snag an L427 and 327 from the 1920’s.
Also have a 202 from the early 60’s and a couple 22x’s from the late 40’s.

I'm sure you have gotten a million JO jokes but I will actually give you an answer.
I recently got into fish tanks. I currently have a 29 gallon and will upgrade to a 125 gallon within a year or so.
Its extremely nerdy as you have to make sure your water parameters are correct and then you have to buy live plants, rocks, and driftwood to decorate the tank and create an "aquascape" that mimics the wild. After that you have to buy the fish. this entails research to figure out which fish can go with each other and what not. There is always something that can be tinkered with or changed and once you catch the bug you will also want a bigger tank so you can get more/different fish.
