Also, didn't they sign the fricking contract?
They didn't bet on themselves and now are paying the price for not having to assume any risk. Can't have it both ways.

Ya'll should be demanding that the women's team play the men's team to see if that's true.

5 goals?
They couldn't beat a local team of 14 year old boys. The Men's team could beat them 20-0 if they wanted to.
She's either lying or ignorant of the situation. They negotiated their current deal because it paid more than they would have made under the men's deal.

If that’s the case it seems like they want to choose a contract after the contract period was over.

They turned down the exact same contract as the men. What they wanted was the US entity to cover another 34 million the men get through the fifa cup. The US was like “that has shite to do with us.” And laughed in their faces as the judge told them that was a completely unreasonable request after being offered equal pay.

At this point how can the US soccer federation have true negotiations with the USWNT when this deal is done? The kowtowed and gave them everything they wanted last go around and then the women wanted to renig in the deal because the deal they rejected would have been more lucrative than the guaranteed money they accepted. Add in the ancillary benefits they get the men don't like their soccer league being kept afloat by the federation, their additional health benefits. All of this and the USWNT have thrown the federation under the bus and ran them through the mud because the federation wouldn't give them the contract they turned down while the contract they wanted was still valid. How can there possibly be good faith negotiations between the two moving forward?

You were after more money than you contracted for, without the inherent risk of the men's CBA.
Just like a fricking woman.

damn, i mean... Just look how much bigger that one 15 year old player is than the best female player. They wouldnt stand a fricking chance physically against the mens team that didnt even qualify.

this is like saying the Minnesota Lynx franchise -- with its 4 WNBA championships -- is somehow worth more than the Timberwolves

I propose that on January 2 of every year, the men's team and the women's team play - winner gets to choose which contract they want for the year (men's CBA or women's CBA).

If they are truly "equal" in this regards, it shouldn't be a problem. Right?

Suit up and play against the men's team. Then let's talk.

If we were under the men's contract – which for the record we asked to be under the men's contract, it was repeatedly refused to us, not only in the structure but in the total compensation – if we were under that contract, we would, you know, earn at least three times higher than we have.
Apparently, she doesn't understand the concept of a contract negotiation. Just because you ask for certain clauses in a contract doesn't mean you should, or will get them. And nobody forced anyone to sign it.

Didn't they try to frame the argument by showing their revenue in a WC year to the revenue of the men's team in a non WC year?
To be fair every year is a non WC year for our shitty men's team.

Oh no, she understands just fine. Just is just acting like an entitled millennial that wants her cake and to eat it to. She thinks that just because they win in a sport that has low revenue generation that she deserves as much or more money as players in a sport with a lot of revenue.

Courts side in their favor: “Praise the wisdom of these courts and fair judges!”
Courts don’t side in their favor: “These judges are clearly just misognyist. We will keep fighting this injustice! Reeeeeeeee”
