I have a 50” as my main TV
Not poor. A 50” tv is more than sufficient. We are so spoiled.
Didn’t want this to get lost in the big dick tv thread.

If she isn't wincing, it ain't big enough.

I'm glad you've determined what is and isn't sufficient
No one needs to drive more than 55 either, eh Mr. Nixon?

You are not. Or maybe I am.

My den is huge.
A 50 inch television would like tiny in it.
Hell, the 58 inch television in my bedroom is too small as well.

My neighbors bought a 60" so I had to go buy. 65".
I think that is the way it works. Focal point of your house should be the TV. It is classy that way.

If I'm not turning my head side to side watching a show, it's too small.

More than 65 inches is trashy.

75" is the new living room standard and it's not even that big of a financial lift. They run them on sale all the time.

TVs are the only thing I can think of that have gone up in quality and down in price over time.
Size is equivalent to the room you’re putting it in.

I had a 75 inch in my old basement lair but that stayed with the house when we sold it. Now I have a 55 inch in my bonus lair. That's plenty big enough. It's a Fire tv or something. Plus. I have Amazon, Paramount, Netflix, Disney, etc. apps on the PS5. I need to pre-order GTA VI.
ETA: Are you poors really downvoting my old 75 inch tv? That was a nice little set-up with a soundbar and a subwoofer. The retirement lair might get something bigger.

The main reason we went to a 65 is because we usually host when the family gets together for the holidays.

The issue most people have is they mount the TV too high. It should be eye line in the center of the TV when you're sitting on the couch.
