Suit yourself. When we get our house built, I plan to have a 75” in our living room, move the current 70” we have to our outside kitchen area, and a 100” for my game room.

I'll tell you old school from a perfect SOB. Lied about his age went into WW2, Korea & Vietnam. Retired Army then retired from the Oilfield.

I asked him about a big screen TV in the 90's. Multiple expletives then said "put the TV you have in your closet, now you have a big screen TV."

I moved to Manchester England in 1998, flatscreen TVs had just come out over there. A 22” wide flatscreen was 3200 Pounds Sterling. At the time around $4200 US dollars!

60'' in living room
32" in bedroom
37" office
32" daughters bedroom

If I had a dedicated HT room I'd probably get a Runco or 120" panel.

We have a 50” and my BIL is one of those huge TV in every other room type of guys (his main room TV is 72”).

Every time he comes over he complains about our TV size and mentions how cheap TVs are now and we could easily buy a bigger one.

He can’t grasp the idea that I really don’t want a bigger TV

A 72”? I’ve never seen a 72” tv. What brand makes that odd ball size? I have a 70” but I thought it went from 70” to 75” and they make 77” OLED tvs in certain brands.

Mine is too high and I hate it, but our casual den has a fireplace and above it was the only option.
