For the record, I am retired as of July 1. No dress code. The downvotes are crazy! LOL!

Coat and tie in the office?

Is this still a thing? I remember when my company made the shift to “business casual” about 20 years ago. Good times!

Any of you baws still wear a coat and tie into the office? What’s your daily work day attire?
Rocky through Rocky Balboa.
Awful.

Nine Buddhist monks were killed and several others in their procession injured when they were hit by an 11-year-old boy driving his parents' pickup truck in north-east Thailand, police said.

The group of 35 monks and five lay followers were walking along a road in Mukdahan province during a pilgrimage when the incident occurred. Footage posted online shows saffron robes and belongings scattered by the roadside, and a wrecked vehicle.

Five of the monks died at the scene and four others later in hospital, according to police. They said the boy took the pickup without permission before losing control and crashing into the monks, according to Agence France-Presse

The suspect is a child. The vehicle has been taken for forensic examination to determine the cause," he said. Later, Thaiputsa told BBC Thai the boy was still being cared for by a team of officials, including his guardians and his doctor. Preliminary information indicates that he is a child with special needs, but no further details are available yet, Thaiputsa said.

Good bless you! I had the opportunity to take a package which enabled me to stop working on 4/30 but continued to get pay and benefits through the end of this month. My official retirement is 7/1, but I have been loving this so far.

61 years old, and worked for the same company for 37 years. Looking forward to what the future brings.

I literally have to send out 3 weekly bullet point emails each week to various useless people whose entire job is to collect bullet points. I also have bi-weekly and monthly versions of this shite.

Ha! Man what a waste of time! I went through this in the last few years before I retired. Dozens of us were filling out these stupid bullet pointed reports that we all knew no one was reading. It was such BS.

Just re-watched thanks to this thread. First time I have watched it since I retired. Hits differently now that I am retired. Was a bit to realistic when I was in corporate cube land, and a bit depressing. Loved this latest re-watch!
Tybee Island. 4.5 hours from my house. Been there once in my life about 30 years ago.
Had a structural engineer take a look and these are thermodynamic pressure cracks on the garage floor and not a foundation issue. Good news there but now to get a concrete guy out here to give me an estimate for a permanent fix.

Although I am intrigued by the Swisstrax idea. This may be my go to.
I don't like him. Every time I see him I want to punch him in the face. He has no range.

Currently streaming on Netflix. This movie seems to get a lot of hate and also amongst Spielbergs worst. Count me in the minority of someone who actually liked this movie.

Anyway, give it a shot; Richard Dreyfuss, Holly Hunter, John Goodman
Thanks for all the replies / advice. I figured I was fonked but thought I'd ask. Will get some quotes.
Looking to take on a project of fixing these cracks and repainting the garage floor, but I am kind of a rookie when it comes to this type of work. 30 years ago when we bought the house these cracks were patched and fairly smooth looking, but time takes a toll.

If I have fairly decent DIY skills, does this look like a DIY type project?

Obviously, I'd have to clear out the cracks of any loose debris and such, but not sure of next steps after that and what type of cement would best work to patch this up so that it can be painted over? Thoughts?

Looking to sell the house within 3 years so not wanting to spend a ton.

I saw it. Awful story. What a total POS that bitch is. And what a complete dumbass Wade (her boyfriend) was.
