So, when they give you a citation are you going to be able to validate that defense in court?
JPSO has better things to do unless you're being ridiculous.

they sent an email to all employees reminding them that cloth masks are effective on the street but they don't work inside the hospital and should not be worn, only proper PPE allowed inside.

How did he politicize it?
He said he didn't need to wear one because he is tested daily (or something to that affect), and the media quickly made it into a political point.
The strange thing about the "mask wearing being political" talking points, when you look at the number of people not wearing masks, you know there are people from both sides of the aisle refusing to wear masks.

Please don’t give anyone any ideas

was at a ball game the other day, mask wearers were much less likely to wash hands than the non mask wearers....but no one stayed away from others and the non mask wearers were still pathetic at actually washing their damn hands.
Were you sitting the bathroom the whole time recording who did and did not wash their hands?

Exactly. It's just going to be a situation where people are guilted into doing it.
The grocery store I was in yesterday said they were planning to hire security to try and force people coming into the store to have on a mask.

I don't mind the mask all that much for short periods of time.
I feel horrible through for the restaurants who are already hurting to bad. People don't quite understand that you can take your mask off when you get to your table, but the whole ordeal is just turning people away from the idea of dining out.
Btw, any of you baws think it's going to be expected of one to wear a mask inside the gym?

I am being a little ridiculous. But, we also know that if the cops are told to go enforce something, there will be a group that will go enforce the rules. It really depends on how much the Parish President tries to push the Sheriff to enforce.
Cops all over the nation have better things to do, but it hasn't stopped other cities from using their police force to shutdown businesses, arrest people, issue citations... I don't see it coming to that in JP, but 2020 has shown we should always expect the unexpected.

I’ve seen what’s in Jefferson parish and by god those people should have been required to wear masks before the pandemic.

See, now this is a mask requirement reason I can get behind.

Do you even live in Jefferson Parish?
If so, then you would know that the majority of JPSO officers don't even wear masks, so what makes you think they're really going to enforce this? Unless they're called on through 911, etc.

Rouses on Veterans.
When I went to Dorignacs on Sunday they had a sign up begging you to wear a mask and if you didn't have one, they would give you one.
That store probably has the oldest average age of any store in the state, so I of course complied.

Then what is? What should we finally stand up to? What about when the government finds out that a mask is worthless if it doesn't fit correct. Then they require everyone to shave their face so it will fit properly.

the idea is shutting down IS prolonging the spread not stopping it. We CAN'T stop it.
you have to let it take its course. Reason after the first shutdown when we realized its not as deadly to the general public we need to open up and stay opened up.
Its HIGHLY contagious, but percentage wise NOT deadly. That's the fact of the numbers.
Unfortunately politicians don't give a shite about you and me and now its a political fight to the election.
Even the "Experts" can't agree on masks/no masks, 6ft - 3ft, etc.

A few months ago it was admitted by the powers that be that it would be impossible to stop this, hence the slowing it down to flatten the curve dogma that idiots have continued to cling to.
