Then what is? People are so eager to give up freedoms for “safety”. People should be considerate and wear a mask but making it law is a whole other ballgame.

The ideal thing would be that it didn’t need to be made into a law because enough people used common sense and personal responsibility and did the right thing to begin with.

But we have seen that isn’t happening so here we are.

I can’t talk to where you live. But where I am...it’s getting worse. Something drastic had to be done sadly. Sucks because I really didn’t want businesses closing again.

Seriously....how would you propose to solve this? Talking about current situation in AZ. I mean hell....the hospitals here are currently trying to get crisis triage measures approved statewide in case they are needed. That’s not good.

We saw this happen in Act 1...don't worry, you'll still have time to make tiktok videos with your coworkers.

Hospitals weren't overrun back in March and April and they won't be overrun this time. This is fear-porn at its finest

What is getting worse? People being diagnosed with COVID? The leap being that it will lead to more deaths or hospitalizations. That trend is not happening. One could say it is coming but all indications seem to say it hasn’t started and we been seeing increases for awhile.

Honestly I think what Sheng is trying to do is protect business and the parish from lawsuits. That is why a lot of this is happening.

For the millionth time.

All we are doing is dragging this shite on.
The longer we drag on, the more vulnerable get infected.
These mask policies are going to result in more deaths.

If you don’t wear a mask in a public place as determined by the Parish President then you could be subject to a fine. Having to do something in order to NOT be fined is losing a freedom.

Trump blew a golden opportunity. Sell red MAGA masks, and he makes $$$ while protecting his people. His opponents would then refuse to wear masks and be more likely to die or be too sick to vote.

That was an easy one, and he missed it.

How will wearing a mask result in more deaths? Got anything to back this up?

Or you can continue to not comply...like what happened in AZ...and look what happened there.

You're going to blame the increases in these states on simply not wearing masks?

That is the only factor at play?

AZ is seeing a huge increase in COVID hospitalizations now. Also an increase in deaths and our positivity rate of tests is increasing.

When LA was at its worst with this....AZ wasn’t really that bad. I think my governor opened up things too soon...before AZ ever even reached its peak

And now here we are.

Do you feel the same about pants or seatbelts? And I dont wear a mask. Hate em.

That is why I dont wear it, I dont like it.

Nope

People weren’t being cautious at all. No social distancing here. No masks. Just acting like the virus had just disappeared.

When Ducey opened the state wide open May 16...people came from other states to party here. Bars by me in Scottsdale packed. Our lakes packed as well Memorial Day weekend

And yes...protests as well. That certainly didn’t help. Anytime you get a massive group of people together isn’t gonna help.

You really don't get it do you? What's really going on. No, wearing a mask will not "get us out of this"

Wearing a mask will embolden authoritarians and strengthen the precedent for this to happen more frequently.

You are SURRENDERING long term freedom for short term crumbs of autonomy. I submit that wearing a mask at this point with what we know now is SELFISH.

Nope, the virus only exist in bars, restaurants, and sporting events....most importantly it only exist in what the media deems to be predominantly white bars and restaurants
