Much of the traffic right now is due to the I-12 widening. With that said, the pinnacle entrance to I-12 needs to be permanently closed.

How has LA 22 not been fully widened by now?
You should know that some of us think that the 1938 Louisiana Department of Highways design should suffice.

Yeah, I just avoid it. There’s nothing west of the Tchefuncte worth all that nonsense.

find it mind blowing that the entire Mandeville/Covington region was basically built on 2 main roads. They never foresaw that would be a problem?
I recall that the parish paid for a study called St. Tammany 2025 that was completed in about 2002. It was promptly ignored.

The traffic the past 2 days has been atrocious. I think it's from the accidents on the interstate

Without a doubt. I’m sitting waiting for my car currently and the traffic was dead stopped westbound around 1:30-2:00 and is moving now

I don’t know the answer. Clearly there needs to be another road that crosses the river but where? The toll tunnel is interesting idea

2 Fridays in a row now where the bus bringing the kids home will be over an hour late because of traffic

And they need to stop opening the damn draw bridge on 22 except for very specific hours during non peak time

You have a great idea in regards to the feeder roads(bridges included) to get from 21 to 190. The only issue is the houses just on the river.

I think eminent domain has its merits
