China focuses on very niche Olympic sports. Not knowing a ton about the country but India just doesn't seem to have the financial backing for any sport outside of cricket. Nor do they seem very athletic as a people. Sports science , nutrition, training, etc I'm sure are extremely well behind the times

Ha no I couldn't give two shits about any MLS team as far as fandom. The most I do is pay attention to the teams that are playing the babies and track their progress. That's what I want MLS to do - be a proving ground and springboard for our guys.

Funny that the controversy is over FIFA following rules they have in place for suspending red cards as they see fit and not the fact that the red card was a result of them not following the rules they have in place for issuance of red cards under VAR
England certainly survived the full CONCACAF treatment

So I thought the whole Flo issue was they used VAR to give a red to a play the ref deemed not a foul in real time and they just did that again here?

I love how there is offsides or positional rules in almost every damn sport but this is the only one people ever bitch about

The part of this is that they interpreted this as a tackle or challenge from Flo. If you look at the last second of the play in a bubble it looks that way and that's all that VAR kept showing on a loop. What they didn't take into consideration was the contact from the defender that threw him off balance leading to his foot coming down on his ankle
No mechanism I'm taking as no official process. We can certainly unofficially raise hell though and see what happens. We should have a team doing nothing but this for the next 72 hours

Actually by the letter of the law it is completely relevant. The defender came through him to win the ball knocking him off balance. It was in the same motion of him regaining his balance that he landed on the ankle.
Furthermore, the VAR replays to the official only showed the clips after the initial coming together happened which is absurd. By itself the "challenge" is a red. In the total context of the play it is not
You put Haji out there. Nobody is like for like for Flo we know that. Pepi is way too weak for this tournament and the way they are calling it. He has been getting absolutely bodied every time he is out there.

Correct and we could potentially know today as the iteration for that 1% involved a 3rd place team from Group E which means either Ecuador needs to beat Germany or Curacao needs to be Ivory Coast to have a realistic shot. If neither of those teams gets a victory they are both stuck on 2 or less points and will most likely not advance. If they both lose they are done

I'm of the mind go pretty much full rotation. Wes and Tillman have put in a lot of hard minutes. Get those legs fresh for Wednesday. Have the yellow card 4 watching from Malibu. Give Puli and maybe a few others 30 if they are 100% healthy. If this isn't a game to play the likes of Arfsten then why the hell is he even on the squad.

There are 120 possible combinations of 3rd place teams left. 119 of those have us playing the group B team which is Bosnia. The other one has us playing group I. The iteration for that lone circumstance is having 3rd place teams from the following groups advance: B, E, G, H, I, J, K and L
