My dad probably wouldn’t have shoved him quite like that.
But he had a finger flick to the forehead perfected that he would have used that was way more soul crushing than being pushed down.

Sort of how I feel.
What do you expect, even as a kid, putting a snake on people's vehicles? If it was just recording then yeah he shouldn't react that way, but did he know the snake was dead? He didn't know what his intentions were. And the kid was looking for a reaction to film, so he got it.
I don't think I agree with arresting him. Yes, he shoved him in his initial reaction, but he did control himself after. I don't know.
I'm trying to put myself in the position as a father. I know most would be defensive of anyone shoving their kids, but I wonder if I'd be equally or more upset at my kid for putting snakes on other people's cars. I would not want that type of behavior.

Rewatched it.
Most of the kid’s screaming was about his phone being spiked, not for fear of his life.
From a distance, not sure when dad was supposed to determine this was a harmless prank and not multiple kids messing with his wife.

I'd definitely press charges on the kid for his assault and harassment. Throwing what could look to anyone not in on the joke to be a real/live snake in someone's car is a big deal and could end poorly for everyone.
