Lived in Washington Parish for a long time. I've never seen water like that ever.

Anybody heard what happened with the levees on Red Chute bayou on the east side of Bossier City? They were estimating overtopping sometime this morning as of last night. Sounds like a truly horrific deal for a lot of houses over there and hopefully the crest fell short of the levee.

Washington parish fair grounds in franklinton.
The dried up creek on our property is flowing pretty good I bet. I hope my box stand next to it isn't washed away. Hwy 10 between franklinton and bogolusa is closed along with bridges in the area

One of my cousins lives off of Hwy 10 just outside of Bogalusa. He lives on a pond but his house sits up pretty high so I'm hoping he'll be alright.

Interested in this too. My SIL lives about 100 yards from the Bayou. Luckily they build the house pad pretty high.

Per WWL people are stranded on rooftops in parts of Washington Parish, a coast guard unit out of N.O. was dispatched this morning.

It crazy how most of this severe weather lately has avoided Baton Rouge. It seems like there is always a clear pocket above BR on the radar.

Here a pic of my in-laws 10 acre pond just northwest of McComb. The top of that bridge is normally 10'+ above the water. Good thing is their house is on a bill that is another 10-15' higher than that bridge.

The white area missed my neighborhood by a few miles. We only got a few inches. Crazy shite. Northshore has been lucky so far.

Folks in Central... looks like the Comite will come close to the all-time record crest.

ETA: This will surpass '83 and push '01

I live in the white area. The rainfall was just insane. My wife's phone had the flood alert going off all night. She slept through it. But the heavy rain persisted the entire night.

Not overtopped yet, but believed imminent. Impact will primarily we on west bank of bayou (Stockwell Place Subdivision). Do not believe homes in DWS to be threatened. Access to the subdivision, on the other hand . . .

Did it flood everywhere or just in low lying areas?

Yup Baton Rouge has been real lucky. I am not sure what causes it but the underpass at Acadian didn't even flood. I was very surprised. Now it looks like when the front makes its move east that it will suck up a lot of gulf moisture and dump it on Baton Rouge area tomorrow.

I'm in the white too... near Hammond. I slept through the entire night until about 5:30 this morning when the power went out.
