It looks like a wet week ahead for parts of Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas.

There is a highly anomalous pattern setting up that you just don't see very often.

This is going to allow the system to tap deep tropical moisture and pump it north.

The 12"+ forecast by WPC might actually be on the conservative side with several runs of the Euro and GFS showing 16" - 20" for areas of S. Louisiana.

I really don't remember it raining this much so early in the year in S Louisiana. Is this year just an anamoly or does it occur more often than I can think of?

Real question is, will it be out by Sunday for the Old Metry St Paddy's day parade...

The better parade is the Baton Rouge wearing of the green parade.

the first 5 inches probably won't be too painful - the last 7 inches might hurt

There are warming and cooling treads yes, but numerous studies have shown CO2 emissions have nothing to do with this warming trend. It's a liberal ploy to get EPA to have extreme control over industry/ and us. You do understand stand when a volcano erupts it sends more than 5-10 years of man made C02 and other toxic gases emissions into the atmosphere!!
