Holy shite. I'm from bogalusa. Went to cassidy growing up and still go out there occasionally for events. I've never seen it like that before. Better not flood Glen's.

You'll notice the dry air wrapping around the low and generally heading toward our area. Hopefully it'll fizzle out the rain still falling over La.

Those river stages are Allison levels!

ETA: That seems to be what the HRRR is picking up. You can really see the low on there too. My thinking looking at it, the extra lift as the low closes into our area and gets away from the dry feed to a move rich environment to make St. Paddy's day a soggy drunken affair.

My parents flooded in 83. After 32 years of paying for flood insurance my goofy arse mom cancelled the policy a while back. She better start praying

Best of luck to your parents. It isn't forecast to get as high as 1983, but you never know. They try to utilize the expected rainfall in the next 48 hours into the river forecast, but that can be off quite a bit obviously.

Whoa! Holy crap. My dad grew up about a block from there.

Be funny if me, you and Walt were related. I'm a Mizell, fwiw.

That is frightening. Hope it goes east of us.

Here in Slidell, I was 5 inches from getting water in my house at 4 this am.

Yeah terd I still go out there for the blues festival they put on in September. Good times. Great for people watching.

It's not a bad event. I always have a good time. I wish they would have TVs out there to watch the LSU game though. They get some pretty good bands/artists out there. The food vendors are decent.
