Glad they're requiring this, but the monthly testing doesn't make much sense. Should be more frequent than that.

That's better than making the vaccine mandatory.

17-22 year old kids have a 99.96% chance of surviving after contracting the virus.

It’s a bit asinine to do this.

Monthly tests are completely useless

But it was the little piece of cake given to the faculty because they didn’t get remote only like they wanted

This. Regular testing seems like a great way to still allow those that don't want to vaccinate to attend and keep classes in-person, but monthly intervals will miss soooo much.

we will look back at all this in 3-5 years and cringe

the fact that so many have been brainwashed into thinking that this is a reasonable decision is fascinating

Sarcasm seems to be lost on a lot of posters today.

Yeah no remote and no requirement of vaccinations is a pretty big win

What do you see that would change the minds of people who aren't "cringing" at most of this shite NOW?

if you're looking at it purely objectively, then it could be seen as crazy

but that's just as crazy as ignoring reality and comparing this to likely alternative options that we're seeing elsewhere

Also will require monthly tests for unvaccinated people.

Unfortunately this is a win in today's climate. Faculty started discussions at 100% remote.

LSU should change their mascot to something way less fierce and less independent than a tiger

It is important though....I'd bet my arse off that well over half of these will come back positive with asymptomatic cases....aka false positives.
