Are those cases reported today just from ONE day? Is there a backlog?

This has to be a backlog and a major one. We added 134 cases in Ouachita Parish in a day? Yeah I call bullshite.

1,100 beds may seem scary but remember we were at 2,100 beds in mid-April

From LDH Twitter

quote:

This is the single largest daily increase not attributable to a backlog since the beginning of the outbreak in Louisiana.

Of course they fail to disclose that this is also one of the largest number of tests reported since the outbreak began (25,108)

Daily cases cover roughly a 10 day period. Tests cannot be processed fast enough. Know several folks who didn’t get their results until 2 weeks after test administration.

If you think the loons give the slightest frick about this or will mention it you have another thing coming.

Can you believe we shut the world down for this ? Not to mention all of the dire predictions of the 'health officials' were 200% WRONG. Let the shite run its course and be done with it. We can't force a complete depression and collapse to try and stop the inevitable. A depression/collapse would be MUCH worse than this virus every was.

You will never know. The state releases percentages and statistics for every metric except when the tests were actually administered.

Advertiser ran a story about a Teurlings football player being in ICU as well. Bad momentum for the "let's play high school sports in the Fall" argument LINK /

And most were in the NOLA region. These are at least spread out amongst the rest of the state for the most part. I know LC and Laffy are seeing the spikes but it’s still more spread out

The frick are people losing their minds over?!

We hit 453k tests on June 9th--3 months into this, and the positive rate was 9.6%.

We just hit 905k on July 10th--nearly doubling the tests in 1 month--and the positive rate over that time period is 6.8%.

On a national level there has been a slight upwards turn in deaths for the 7 day rolling average. Way too early to tell anything though.

Oh man. You know what. You've really opened my eyes. I'm voting for Biden now.

Thanks for setting me straight with this post.

Do we have testing rates for that same time period? Obviously that has NOTHING to do with deaths but I’m just curious about the cases

25 Thousand tests, settle the frick down. Death rate is dropping like a rock. Also don't believe every hospitalization stat they throw out. Remember how they stretched the deaths, they're doing the same here.
