Its been at least 4 weeks where my Grandpa is with only 1 staff member testing positive
Those restrictions you’ve been so vocal about from day 1 are a huge reason.

I edited to clarity they are also still weekly testing
I understand the restrictions
What I don’t understand is why they only apply to family & not everyone
When a facility posts pictures of staff eating lunch together elbow to elbow
When a facility posts pictures of nurses hugging for nurses week
When a facility posts pictures of vendors bringing food inside the facility everyday for 2 weeks for nurses week
When a facility posts pictures of staff huddled around a snowball truck in the parking lot
& I cannot drop off a bowl of fresh watermelon

Don’t really get that. No harm in it.

Vendors are keeping their relationships pretty much the only way they can - waitring shite to us.
It’s actually kind of annoying.

If people do not choose to visit their loved ones then that’s their decision but there shouldn’t be any reason why I cannot walk in wearing a mask, go to a private room, social distance & leave
They can keep dining rooms closed
They can keep public restrooms closed
But I am not a risk to anyone by walking down a hallway anymore than the staff
The residents are left to sit in a small room 24/7 with nothing but a tv for company
Not all residents have phones, not all residents can use phones
Not all residents have window access to visits

They did that & stopped it
My guess is because the one they had was really tall & basically prevented all air flow
It’s way too hot for that
They have made it basically impossible to do any kind of visit other than face time

Wtf lol. I think we call those microwaves.
On the real, we were discussing cutting back on our visitor restrictions to at least offer outdoor visits before things blew up in LCH. Other people made this decision for all of us.

“We” haven’t... people that refuse to wear masks in public and don’t give a frick about anyone but themselves made it impossible. Many of the staff caring for your loved ones have had to make personal sacrifices to continue caring for your loved ones. Don’t forget that.

Supposedly the reason window visits got shut down was because family had resident open window & they removed the screens to hand them gifts

We have had the same issue. People don’t want to believe they’ll be the person to bring the virus into a community.

I feel like it is specific meaning if you’re positive you are truly + but you are going to have more false negatives

Yall continue to move the goalposts. Cases mattered when they were low. Now that they are higher, there are just more tests being administered....okay, % positive is trending up over the last week or 2, over the last few days around 10%. When thats not good its dismissed. Then only hospitalizations mattered. Now those are up, and now the excuse is a bunch of people getting admitted to the hospital who are there for other reasons so cant trust those numbers. Im not saying we are at the brink of everything collapsing, but its obvious its all spiking, and its not a good thing. We obviously arent going to phase 3 anytime soon. And thats probably warranted
