I have no doubt cases will increase. Hospitalizations are past our worst peak and will not again threaten the hospitals. That’s the entire reason lockdown was even offered.
We shouldn’t have any more restrictions going forward and those we do have should be removed.

In what part of the state? I'm not sure any place has seen two large waves yet. If anything will cause it, it'll be flu season and school though so I guess we'll see.

She's not really going out on a limb. I'm sure there will be more cases as restrictions are lifted. But even during this "second spike" things haven't been as bad as they were originally.
I'd guess that even with a third increase in cases, the hospital numbers won't reach the level they were just a couple of weeks ago.

I only know 5 people in all of my friends, family and co-workers that have been tested.
I dont know the results but none of them said they were positive.

Makes sense & doesn’t mean much
First wave took out the weakest
Second wave due to community spread showed more cases but less hospitalizations
Third wave due to school spread sill be more cases & even less hospitalizations
I don’t think anyone will be shocked by this

Gonna continue to happen until it runs it course or theres a magic pill (yeah right)
thats whats infuriating, every time that a town parish or state will try to reopen, theyll be a surge and people will panic and shut down everything instead taking a stance of:
- be smart about taking precautions
- protect yourself if vunerable
- be considerate if you are having symptoms
the virus is gonna get its pound of flesh...only question is over how long a period of time.

What do they do this winter when the flu actually kills children and tears through schools? The regular flu is 3.5 times more deadly for kids under 15 than Covid is. We gonna shut down every flu season? Something we HAVE A VACCINE FOR that still kills tens of thousands every year.

The flu will be exceptionally mild this year. Everyone will be distancing, everyone will be washing hand, an nobody will go to school or work sick.
