LDH provides one daily update each day at 12PM CT except on Saturdays.
Hospital and vent data is again delayed.

Question about that, LDH cites the new federal hospital reporting guidelines as the reason for the delay. Haven't those been in place for a few weeks?

I am just shocked as to how many tests get done on a daily basis.
We have to be going for the "We have tested the most people in the world" T-Shirt.
It's insane. Half the state will be tested by mid October if these numbers keep up.

This won’t be too popular and trust me I’m with you guys about opening up.
A really good friend works directly in infectious diseases, including on two separate Covid trials.
She’s called things at every turn against all of my arguments.
She says the numbers they are seeing in Orleans and Jefferson are spectacular, but she is expecting one more large wave statewide in mid to late September after schools open up. She’s been right every time. We will see.
Hopefully this is all over.

We don’t really talk politics but she’s not a liberal person. Pretty conservative.
She’s basing that in data and her medical opinion. Like I said she’s not some random person. She is literally in infectious disease testing and research and is working directly on Covid therapeutics.
It’s an opinion though. She could be wrong. We will see.
