His contract states that he is the only one that can exercise the 3rd year option. Ferrari has made it ever clear they are ready for Bearman to be in the prancing horse. I think the rumors are true that he will announce something at home when they are at Silverstone but who knows what it is.
I feel like Ferrari would make him a very nice financial offer to not option the 3rd year. He should take it if the offer and go out when he is still semi competitive.
I like Hamilton so I dont want to see him become mid pack.

I believe Max is just using his influence to get the cars where there should be. I don't believe he is going to leave F1. He is putting pressure on FiA, Redbull and every other team. I think he will have another world championship or 2 before he retires.
Redbull will have the car sooner than later for him to be happy again. Redbull does offer him so much outside of F1 and last weekend was an example of that. Ford wants him in LeMans, Mercedes and Redbull want to keep him in GT. All of these are much easier if he is a Redbull driver, but not impossible.
I feel Lewis is gone. He has accomplished enough and unless things turn around soon for him, he will just call it quits and go do something else.

She settled her case and the settlement is sealed. I would bet that it barred her from ever appearing in anything Disney or Marvel again

I would love to see him in the GT40 at LeMans. It would give him a new challenge and Ford would be very happy.
Edit. I didnt know the dates of LeMans. He cannot race LeMans this year due to the BARCELONA-CATALUNYA Grand Prix

Gen Xer here. When I was growing up no one would dare say they were on foodstamps.

Friday cant get here fast enough! I am ready for the 90 min FP to see the upgrade packages.
Start of Lewis Hamilton Farewell tour?
I just don't understand why they cannot admit they made a mistake and take the next few years trying to minimize the mistake. Instead, they chose to ignore the mistake, gaslight us and alienate drivers and fans.
I know money and ego won't let them but maybe try something genuine and honest before you destroy your sport. They don't want to admit that if Max leaves, he is taking fans with him. If they don't think that's the case, then look no further than last weekend at Nürburgring during the NLS. I would have to think that coverage of that event was the most ever or in a long time.

His contract ends at the end of 2027 and depending on how he does this season, we would see a few stops on a farewell tour.
I just don't see him racing in 2028 unless he has real success the rest of this season.
Max threw gas on the fire in September by saying he wouldn't rule out signing with Ferrari.
Its been a crazy year

You have Hamilton retiring?
Yes. I think this and all signs pointing to Max taking a year off in 2027 can will shake up a lot of teams.

Since we still have over a week to go let's project the 2028 drivers and their teams. This month break at the start of the season has been terrible. Miami GPX can't get her fast enough.
Of course I will start
Mercedes - Kimi & Piastri
Red Bull - Hadjar & Colapinto
McClaren - Norris & Verstappen
Ferrari - LeClerc & Bearman
Aston Martin - Stroll & Russell

What a moronic thing to say. The regs suck, we all hate it and they are unsafe because it takes the drivers out of control of the car.
From Norris's comments about it overtaking on it's own and Bearman's 50G crash at Suzuka due to speed differences, its time to make a real change starting with Domenicali.

Take the mystery box. If Bain is there trade the pick for at least 2 first rounders and drop back a few spots and get BPA.
Someone is going to want Bain if he is there for the Saints, so make them pay dearly for him.

I really enjoyed hearing he and Max talk. Lambiase has a golden voice.

Every F1 fan is bitching yet still watching.
You are right, but after Miami if nothing has changed the viewership will start to drop off. No one is going to watch the Silver Arrow runaway with it this year if there is no real challenger to them.
Ferrari has its problems and it looks like McLaren is making strides but if nothing changes expect it to start losing viewers in droves. The Apple TV coverage hasn't been an improvement and that hurts as well.
