I used to work at LSU center for river studies and let me tell you this...the data..does..not..lie. it is a shame how entire teams of university professors, grad students, and engineering firms have true complete scientific evidence stating how devastating this threat is and then you have a bunch of these arse clowns in office (who quite frankly have no earthly idea what they are talking about) ruin all of it.

I would imagine they are already involved being that the project involves dredging and building levees.

Billy nungesser and his friends

I was curious as to whether or not Nungesser's house on Hwy 23 ever sold, so I went to the assessor's site to look. He "sold" all of his properties in late 2022 to BOLSU PCF, LLC with a mailing address in Kemah, TX (same address as Onsite Concrete Solutions). His name is not listed as the owner of a single property in Plaquemines Parish anymore. I assume it had something to do with his run for governor, but I don't understand why he kept everything in his name through his first term as Lt Gov and then changes it all of a sudden. Either way, he's a shitbag.

This should have been implemented years ago. It's been through NRDA and on the books for over a decade. CPRA has a revolving door management with at least 4 temporary and longer term directors during that time who hadn't picked up where the other left off to push the project through.

Landry ran on the promise that he would end all these lawsuits/challenges.

It was a focal of his campaign.

I applaud their efforts. However, it has ALWAYS been a foregone conclusion that because of the size, scope, and magnitude of this issue, Mother Nature always wins. It's a wonderful humanitarian gesture, but it's always been destined to fail from Day#1. Just being honest.

Mother Nature gonna Mother Nature. It's been happening for millions of years.

I guess we now know what was discussed between them two in their meeting prior to Nungesser dropping out and endorsing Landry.

If Governor Landry allows this to be completely killed because of Nungesser and these minority special interests, that needs to be chalked up as an incident where he turned his back on the State of Louisiana.

Doesn’t mean he won’t do some good things as Governor still, but this would be a large negative, in my non-expert opinion.

Wasn't it them, US Corps of Engineers, that fricked everything up to begin with? The river used to permeate and flow thru all that shite..

I guess one way to end them is to just roll over and die.
