we have a 16 ft 1994 custom flat and i have had trips where we have caught just as much fish as the bigger bay boats. one of the best fishing trips of my life was in a 17 foot striper bay boat. watch the forecast and you will be good.
re: Sad that MS turkey hunting season is nearing an end

this was my first turkey season ever. i learned alot. i learned about their behavior, calling, patterning a shotgun, alot for a simple novice.
My last hunt of the year i had 2 gobbling back and forth...one to my front (about 150 yards away) and one to my right (about 100 yards away). it was so cool just listening to them. one to my right was getting closer and closer and closer and the adrenaline rush i had setting up my gun just waiting for him to come out was FAR greater than the biggest buck i have ever killed. sadly, he never came out (i believe he had a hen with him because i heard some yelping too) and i heard his gobbles sound like they were going away. it was so much fun and i cant wait for next year

Garmin Echomap 74cv UHD2

Baws,
I have used a standard mapping laminated map as my only choice of navigation through the marsh and it has helped a lot but i want to get a new navigational mapping tool for our boat. I wanted to get the garmin model i listed in the subject.
Do yall know how big it is and can the standard mapping "louisiana one" card can work in it?
thanks for the advice

try this next time the taxman gets you. position prop to the hooked fish, make a bunch of bubbles with the prop and the sharks go away. i dont know why but the sharks dont like it. we did it everytime and got a limit of snapper

So you are basically saying that cancer alley in louisiana is like the amazon rainforest compared to those places in terms of pollution?
